Nerbio Launches U.S. Sales Operations from Memphis, Bringing Breakthrough Medical Device Innovation to the Mid-South

Memphis, TN — 06/02/2025 — Nerbio, a fast-growing innovator in app-controlled patient monitoring technology, is proud to announce that it is establishing its U.S. sales operations in Memphis, Tennessee.

The move marks a major milestone for Nerbio as it brings its flagship product, the iTOF® — the world’s first FDA-cleared, smartphone-controlled device for monitoring intubated and anesthetized patients in surgery — to hospitals across the United States. By choosing Memphis, Nerbio aims to tap into the region’s thriving healthcare ecosystem and build strong local partnerships.

Nerbio’s international operations are led by CEO Dr. Henry Sullivant, who previously served as the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, one of the Memphis region’s leading healthcare systems.

“I’m excited to be working with this company,” said Dr. Sullivant. “Having spent my career in Memphis, I see enormous potential to bring innovative, easy-to-use technology like the iTOF® into everyday clinical care — improving safety for patients while saving time and resources for care teams.”

The Nerbio iTOF is compact, portable, and operated wirelessly through a mobile app, making it easier and more affordable for hospitals to monitor neuromuscular block under anesthesia. This helps anesthesiologists fine-tune medication use during surgery to help ensure safer post operative recovery. Hospitals that have adopted iTOF monitoring have reported faster operating room turnover, lower drug use, and fewer complications after surgery.

Unlike legacy medical monitoring systems, which are often expensive, bulky, and complex, Nerbio’s Medical Device as a Service approach is designed to disrupt the traditional capital equipment model used in most hospitals. By offering smart, app-connected devices through a scalable, cost-efficient Subscription Service model, Nerbio makes high-performance technology accessible to hospitals and surgery centers of all sizes.

The iTOF flagship product is just the beginning — a proof point that modern, mobile-based tools can exceed traditional systems in both performance and value, while dramatically reducing procurement and maintenance costs. Looking ahead, Nerbio is developing additional smart monitoring tools — including systems to monitor EEG activity, carbon dioxide levels, and noninvasive blood pressure — all with the same goal: giving healthcare teams better data and better control through wireless app-based technology — without costly, bulky, legacy equipment or complex interfaces.

With a Memphis base and a seasoned physician leader at the helm, Nerbio is positioned to deliver on empowering providers with intelligent tools that make high-quality care simpler and more accessible.
